There was a social media uproar over the weekend after an iconic mural in Nashville, meant to celebrate country music stars, removed an image of Taylor Swift and replaced it with Brad Paisley, according to USA Today.

The mural at Nashville’s Legends Corner, which is next to Ryman Auditorium, features country stars like Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton and Willie Nelson, according to USA Today.

The mural’s artist, Tim Davis, has said that removing Swift was part of larger plans for the mural, which includes adding two other stars to the installation, according to Fox News.

Some fans pointed out that Swift was only the second artist to win the Pinnacle Award at the CMA Awards in 2013, which is given to artists who take country music to a worldwide audience, according to CBS News.

Although Swift has moved away from the country music scene in recent years, she performed earlier this year at the Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony in Nashville and her single “Betty” was released on country radio stations this year, the Deseret News previously reported.

Davis, the artist behind the Legends Corner mural, told USA Today that he hopes to eventually paint a mural in Nashville that would feature Swift on her own and has set up a GoFundMe page to help make that happen.

“As a music powerhouse in her own right, and having introduced many to the country music genre, she should be featured on a prominent mural in Music City that showcases both her country roots, and her earned status as the queen of pop,” Davis wrote on the GoFundMe page.
